TPU 90A is an elastomer, so the part can bend or compress and then return to its original shape. Its hardness is 90 Shore A, which means it is flexible in thin walls and nearly rigid in thick ones.
Elongation at break reaches 310% in X/Y and 110% in Z, and tear strength is 66 kN/m in the XY plane. Compression set is 20.5% at 23 °C and 59.9% at 70 °C, so a gasket kept compressed in heat stays flattened.
In SLS, TPU needs no supports, so you can make lattice structures for cushioning, bellows and parts with internal cavities. The surface is rougher than on the polyamides and dimensions are less accurate. We print it on the Fuse 1+ 30W, and on the Fuse X1 it is announced for June 2027.
